DIY - Veneer Wood Invitations By Mrs. Irish P.

By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
DIY-Veneer Wood Invitations.JPG

I haven't been looking at wedding invitations much but when a bride asked me about Veneer Invitations about a week ago, I did a search and found the most beautiful set made by another bride who calls herself Mrs. Irish P. on Wedding Bee. She refused to spend $2000 on similar invites and the ones she made herself as you see are amazing! They matched her Peacock Wedding Theme perfectly. Of course, you can design them to match any wedding theme using the instructions Mrs. P here on Wedding Bee along with the materials she used.

The cost per set was $1.50 and it included a response card made out of veneer wood, as well as a purple card with directions! A peacock feather with beads and a gold ribbon held them all together quite nicely!

If you decide to make Veneer Wood Invitations, I would love to see them! So be sure to upload photos for us to admire.

Have fun!

The Amazing Work of Victoria Joanne!!

By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd

For the October Wed Hunt that was held in October, Victoria Joanne of
Custom Wedding Garters donated a gorgeous Satin Garter that she was kind enough to personalize for the winner, Megan Beardsley! It's beautiful as Victoria's work always is and I feel so blessed to have given Megan the opportunity to receive one of her creations.

Victoria, who you can also find at
Hand-Crafted Creations, was kind-hearted enough to donate a Satin Dress Tag also that she once again personalized for Sarah Bowerman, the lucky winner! I couldn't be more grateful to Victoria for the wonderful gifts she has given these ladies that I know they will cherish forever.

Thank you Victoria, your work continues to amaze me! I pray that you and your family will have the Happy Holidays you deserve!

Hawaiian Wedding Rings Starting at $77!

By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
ring2.JPGring1.JPG
I don't remember how or when I came across these Hawaiian Wedding Rings but I had them bookmarked because Richard and I were seriously considering getting a set for our vow renewal. We've decided to get our current rings melted together to create two new custom wedding bands for that day instead but what I still love about these rings is that you can design them yourself. You choose from 15 different designs including Quilt, Princess, Bamboo, Island Flowers and Queen Emma.  However, not only do you choose the design but also the color, width, weight, edging, inside engraving and more all starting at $77 for the sterling silver! The most costly design is for the rings with two tones and yetfor those the price is still under $500! But you don't take my word for it, go here to see them for yourself!

Cheap Invitations, as low as $35 for 100!

By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
Peacock-Feather-Invitation.jpg

I loved the Invitations I had picked out from Etsy.com but my dear husband was having a hard time accepting the price. I've been planning on going the DIY route until this past Saurday when our dear Mickie Wyatt message me with the link to the Peacock Invitation you see above on 123Print.com with the note "Thought of you when I saw these..."  and I am so grateful because they cost only $36.95 for $100!

I ordered a free sample of it, as well as two others that peaked my interest and I am praying that they look just as good or even better in person.  I may actually prefer these to my previous choice, but I will definitely add a teal (blue) ribbon to them and tie it on the center of the peacock feather image, just to dress them up a bit.

What is also great about 123 Print is that they sell 100 matching save-the-date cards for just $4.95 and 50 matching RSVP cards for $14.95! You can even get matching notecards and thank you cards as well!

To be honest, right now I am mainly interested in the invitations since I am having everyone RSVP online at My Wedding Page here on BronzeBudgetBride.com! Some of our guests are international, so they will be RSVPing online anyway, so we decided that we'll just have everyone do it. I am just glad I've found 100 beautiful invitations under $40! I thought that was impossible to do but I have, with your help Mickie, and I can't thank you enough.

Honeymoon Moola

By Carla Lowery
Many couples are feeling the financial pinch right down to their pocketbooks when planning their wedding, which leaves them with literally with no money for left for booking the honeymoon. This is the time for couples to collaborate regarding what items you already have in each home. Start by using this free wedding template for merging couples items together for their Wedding Gift Registry Checklist.

After couples have gone through their gift registry, discuss what is important to each other when it comes to what couples want as far as gifts. Does the wedding couple want gifts or do they want a lifetime full of awesome memories by using websites to contribute to a couple’s wedding honeymoon fund? Most wedding couples are now saying they want money to contribute to their honeymoon fund.

Here are some great websites for couples to suggest to wedding guest for honeymoon contribution:
My Registry
Honeymoon Fund
Honeymoon Wishes

After registering on one of the aforementioned websites, couples need to discuss the wedding information for wedding guests. Please do not put honeymoon contributions on your wedding invitations because it is just downright tacky. Instead, use wedding verbiage, such as, "Wedding Guests, please visit our wedding website for detailed wedding information”. This is the place where couples should include things such as wedding party information, photo galleries, wedding events, accommodations, attractions, rsvp, wedding music, honeymoon funds, wedding vendors, wedding videos, wedding guestbook, contact information, and wedding registries.

Upon the return from the wonderful honeymoon, then couples can review their free wedding gift registry checklist and review the list. If there is money left over, this is the time where couples can go on that shopping spree for the items on the list to purchase for their home.

Wedding Insurance for You, Before You say I Do!

By Carla Lowery

Wedding insurance is fairly new in the insurance market, but couples should definitely consider wedding insurance before their special day. One never knows when extremely bad weather will occur before or even on the wedding day or if one of the wedding vendors decide to go out of business before the wedding, so consider wedding insurance for you, before you say I do!

The pricing of wedding insurance is based off the coverage selection and liability insurance. Wedding Event Coverage/Postponement selection protects the couples financial investments such as the wedding event cancellation, wedding vendor no show, military, sickness, injury, weather, postponement, lost deposits, and more. Wedding Liability Insurance protects couples against financial liability arising from the wedding such as damage, personal injury to guests at the rehearsal dinner, ceremony site or at the wedding venue (Wed Safe, 2010). Another type of insurance to include would be liquor liability coverage, which protects the couple from alcohol related accidents on the wedding day.

If couples have insurance, check with your insurance agency to see what is exactly offered and what is covered under your home owners insurance policy. Most of the time, weddings require separate insurance, so this is the time to ask the insurance agent detailed questions about what is covered, reimbursements, deductibles, and timing (when to purchase the insurance such as before wedding deposits).

Other information couples need to research is travel insurance and wedding vendor insurance. If travel is not included in the wedding insurance, then travel insurance should be considered as well when booking your travel arrangements for the couples honeymoon. Also, be sure to always include asking your wedding vendors for a copy of their insurance policy to see what is covered, so couples can determine what they really need for insurance coverage.

After couples have researched wedding insurance, its now time to purchase wedding insurance plan with their insurance agency or an online insurance agency. The online insurance agencies recommend for wedding insurance are Wed Safe or Protect My Wedding. The online insurance agencies recommend for travel insurance are Travel Guard or Insure My Trip.

Just remember that wedding insurance will save couples from suffering many headaches and money, so invest some of your time, conduct some research, and have the wedding budget in hand when purchasing wedding insurance.
