What You Need To Know When Buying Your Rings...
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
There really is nothing like a wedding. It’s the big day, the big event of a lifetime in many cases, and so many hopes ride on getting everything right. That includes the all-important rings for bride and groom, and getting the design and fits right. It’s not as hard as it might seem, if you know a good jeweller or online jeweller to help you.
Rings, the new basics for shopping online
The story with wedding rings really is romantic. It’s exciting, fun, and you can expect to be stunned by some of the new rings on the market. Shopping for these fabulous things is an adventure in itself, and if you’re looking for something special, you will be able to find it. Shopping for rings has gone hi-tech, and for the better. A whole new generation of jewellery designers has emerged since the globalization of business and with them has come a whole new generation of designs and much better prices.
If you search “diamond rings” under Shopping, you’ll find that you’ve hit the jackpot. The first thing you’ll see is that you can soon figure out a range of rings in your price range and in the styles you want. This is one of the advantages of shopping online- You can spot a good deal or a great design instantly.
Shopping for rings
You will also want to check out your local jewellers, and you’ll be able to make comparisons between the online deals and what’s in the shops. The question now is what to buy. The beautiful diamond rings are often a confusing array of choices, so you need to get a bit more specific about what you want.
It’s best to create a checklist for yourself, or you could, quite literally, be looking at rings for days. Start with the basics of diamond ring design:
-
What sort of cut do you want? There are several classic diamond cuts which you will recognize instantly.
-
Do you have any special requirements? Do you want white gold, yellow gold, or a combination of both?
-
Do you want a single diamond, or multiple?
-
Do you want a traditional design, or one of the new designs?
-
What about ring size?
The possibilities are fascinating, and you may find a ring which you absolutely love simply by browsing through the catalogues on these simple criteria.
Buying your rings
Some things you need to know about buying rings:
Diamonds
are usually certified authentic.
This is a major issue in the jewellery trade, and jewellers are very conscious of the demand for this reassurance.
Terms of purchase online should be very straightforward. There should be a refund
The best thing about the online jewellers is the amount of information and service you get. Online retailers generally are good value for consumers, because they provide a lot of upfront information with each product or service. Online jewellers go a step further, providing a lot of information about purchase options.
After 5 Years Of Marriage I've Learned...
By Carlise (Carla) ShepperdToday makes it officially five years since Richard and I have been married. It's been a crazy but wonderful ride and I've learned a few things along the way that I hope you will pay attention to if you are getting married or just got married!
1. Respect each other ALWAYS because at some point it will mean more than your love for each other.
2. Don't stop dating when you get married, dates are even more fun after the "I dos!"
3. Just because you argue and your parents never did that doesn't mean there is something wrong with your relationship.
4. Don't assume your marriage will last forever because you love each other. Make sure every day you are working on making it last because you love each other.
5. Stay sexy. Burping or passing gas in front of your spouse is never a turn on, so ladies please avoid doing that in front of him.
6. Wear something sexy around the house and burn the sweats. Your sex life will thank you.
7. If you have a headache, take a pill before you go to bed because the more you say no, the faster you're opening a door for him to go.
8. Talk about your goals often and motivate each other to accomplish them!
9. Be honest with each other...try to avoid those white lies.
10. Be thankful for your marriage...your love...your life together and never it take things for granted.
"The Art of Marriage" by Wilferd A. Peterson
By Carlise (Carla) ShepperdThis is a poem that I think should be read by anyone entering into marriage or are already married!
A good marriage must be created.
In the art of marriage the little things are the big things...
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say "I love you" at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is at no time taking the other for granted;
the courtship should not end with the honeymoon,
it should continue through all the years.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude
of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.
It is speaking words of appreciation
and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is not looking for perfection in each other.
It is cultivating flexibility, patience,
understanding and a sense of humour.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is finding room for the things of the spirit.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal,
dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal.
It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner.
It is discovering what marriage can be, at its best.

Buy These Affordable Black Dinner Plates and Learn How To Set A Wedding Table
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
Not every bride want to have white dinner plates at their reception and clear ones just won't do since black is what they've envisioned at each place setting at the reception. Well, for you I've found 120, 10", Black, Dinner Plates online here at Koyal Wholesale for $122.88. That's about $1.00 each which is almost the same price as renting them.
If you'll be ordering or renting dinner plates and setting up the reception room yourself too, then read on to find an article on How To Set A Wedding Table.
"Setting a wedding table is not as difficult or challenging as it may first appear. Follow these simple step-by-step instructions and you'll be setting a wedding table the way the pros do!
- The first step should be gathering all your table linens that are needed including tablecloths and napkins. Check that they are color coordinated and ironed to create the most elegant look. Lay all tablecloths and place napkins aside until step two.
- Second, place a plate at each seat. Check to be sure all plates are clean and chip-free. You'll want to put your best foot forward and no one will want to eat off a dirty plate! Place napkins on top of the plate in the center.
- The next step to setting your wedding table will be to place the cutlery. This is an important step and extra care should be taken to ensure proper placement. Each place setting should contain 2 forks: 1 large dinner fork and 1 smaller salad fork. The dinner fork should be placed adjacent to the plate and the salad fork should be placed on the outside of the setting next to the dinner fork. Both forks are to be placed to the left of the dinner plate. To the right of the plate, place your butter knife (blade facing in towards the plate) and spoon. If you are in need of a soup spoon, place this on the outside of the setting to the right of the teaspoon."

Items For Your Wedding Bathroom Baskets?
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
Having a basket filled with supplies that your guests may need in the bathrooms at your wedding is a nice gesture that may help more than you know. When I first came across the first wedding bathroom basket I asked a few people I know if they've seen them at weddings and if they used or know anyone who used any of the items that was available. To my surprise, most of them admitted that they did and that is was a real treat seeing the basket with items they couldn't bring. Remember, most people do not take a big bag or purse when they are attending a wedding so if anything happens this basket will be a comfort and whatever is not used, you can take home.
Bathroom Baskets do not have to cost much money, as a matter of fact many of the things that most people suggested can be found a dollar store.
What exactly should you put in the bathroom baskets...I've added two lists below of the most recommended items!
