Celebrity Inspired Earrings under $7.00
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
As I watched the Red Carpet Show for the 2009 Emmy's last night, I found myself paying very close attention to the jewelry that the ladies were wearing. Not all wore necklaces the women were adorned with beautiful earrings that cost well into the thousands. Since I am all about helping budget brides look as fabulous as the celebrities but doing it for less of course, I was so pleased to find that Forever21.com had some very similar looks for under $7.00. There were many to choose from that any bride would be proud to pair with her wedding gown but I choose the 20 that were my favorite. You can see the complete list online HERE or at a Forever21 store near you.

Candles, candles and more candles!
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
There is one thing I've learned from the hundreds of wedding shows I've seen and reception photos I've browse and it is that the most affordable way to add some glam, charm and elegance to any small budget wedding is to add lots of candles. Even if the room itself is not as fab as you'd like, with dim lights and candles flickering, how could the guests not feel the love.

Create a Candy Tower Cake for Kid's Table
By Carlise (Carla) ShepperdHalloween will be here soon and what that means is that there will be lots of candy on sale after October 31st. At many dollar stores you can even find them after that date for as little as $0.25 per pack. Take advantage of the bargains budget brides, you can always remove the paper wrapping from bars like Mr. Good Bar and Krackle candy to use as favors. However, another cool idea for those candy is that you use them to create a candy tower cake like the above to display on the kids table at your reception. Can you imagine how excited they'll be to see that...what kid doesn't love candy!

Cheap Bridesmaid and Wedding Dresses- 80% off
By Jessica KHello! The reason for posting my blog is due to the fact I am without a doubt a budget bride. I have been engaged for about a year and am finally getting down to the niddy gritty of planning my wedding. While looking for bridesmaid dresses I stumbled upon a great website that offers not only bridesmaids but also wedding dresses for up to 80% off. There are only a few catches that you would have be ok with…one is that its made outside of the Untied States and they do not have a bridal boutique that you can go try wedding dress’s on at. The second is that all purchases are made over the internet and shipped to you. But if you can let you mind open up and get past those few factors, I think it could save you a lot of money.
The websiteis www.vponsale.com they are located in Shanghai China, world's base of wedding dress factories. The dress’s you can actually order per size or do there “Made to Measure” options which offers : both standard size and custom size options for each wedding dress order. If you did want to make your dress exactly to your body measurements they have a specific burst / waist / hip guide that you can follow. There is more detailed information located on their website.
As far as I can see they have some amazing dress’s and if you’re a budget bride this may be the way to go! If this is something that your considering I would suggest ordering the dress a size larger than you are and getting a custom seamstress to make any alterations that you want. So there you have it…my two sense in the world of wedding dresses. Hope this helps someone who is looking for a killer dress on a tight budget. Ohh and yes I am ordering my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses from this location as it seems to be a win, win for everyone! Happy Wedding dress hunting everyone!
Below are a couple of examples of bridesmaid and wedding dresses
(the third one is actually the one I will be ordering):

Worried about choosing a strapless wedding dress?
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
Worried about choosing a strapless wedding dress because you just can't seem to find a strapless bra to support you? Well, a bride-to-be I've come to know very well, who is blessed with a pair of 38DD's, was excited to share her secret to wearing strapless gowns without worrying about 'spillage.' She admitted that she uses a "...body bra/corset, one that wraps all the way down to my lower back so that my WHOLE back is working to support the girls."
