Plus Size Wedding Dresses under $200
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
I received a message from one of our bronze budget brides who is having a hard time finding an inexpensive, plus size "second" gown to change into at her reception "to dance in" as she puts it. Well, it was quite a challenge finding a cheap white, plus size gown, which is a shame. There should certainly be more options for our big, beautiful brides on a budget. I've listed the few I located online for under $200.00 that I think are really cute but I will keep my eye out from now on and keep featuring afforadble wedding gowns for the curvy gals. Shame on me for not doing so sooner, forgive me ladies and I hope you like the ones I added today.

Wedding Day Makeup Tips
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
The most important thing to
remember about your wedding-day makeup is that it shouldn’t
outshine you. Like your hairstyle and your photographs, makeup’s
purpose is to make your face look like you—only better. If you’re
set on trying something brand-new for your ceremony, such as
bright red lipstick when you’ve never glossed before, don’t wait
until the Big Day. Start trying out shades weeks before, and see
how they look with your dress, your flowers, and your hair color.
Should you be hiring a makeup artist for the ceremony, tell her
the look you want, listen to her ideas, and get started: Do not
be talked into any “look” that makes you uncomfortable. Just as
new shoes or a completely different wardrobe for a job interview
makes you feel off-balance, a makeup style that doesn’t suit you
will affect your self-confidence as you walk down the
aisle.

Guitar Groom's Cake Idea
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
I've gotten a great response from the first groom's cake suggestion I added which was a football cake. So that is why I decided to share this one with you which looks very much like a real guitar. Most of the ingredients for decorating the cake again is mainly just frosting and candy. Yellow M & M's are used on the cake but I would suggest choosing brown instead and maybe leaving off the pretzel sticks and marshmallow at the end.

Did you know you can buy Cupcakes at your Supermarket for as little as $0.25 each?
By Carlise (Carla) ShepperdI've been to a few bakers and the price for one cupcake start at $1.50! Don't get me wrong, they taste really good but at my local supermarket six (6) cupcakes sell for $2.99 and twelve (12) mini cupcakes sell for the same price. That's about 25¢ for each mini cupcake and 50¢ for the regular cupcakes. This means that with $25.00 you can buy 100 mini cupcakes. If you are a bride on tight budget, you can save hundreds buying cupcakes and having a Cupcake Wedding Cake. So don't forget to check the bakery at your local supermarket for cupcakes and even wedding cakes.
