I love the recipes at this seddy5.typepad.com and I was inspired to share information about the Summer Dress Sugar Cookie recipe with you because of these amazing cookies that our DIY Diva bride Michelle posted last week.

Michelle is making these cookies for her bridal shower but they would make wonderful wedding favors too. She was kind enough to share her cookie recipe which I've posted below for you.
If you are interested in learning how to make Dress Sugar Cookies for an upcoming event, go here to seddy5.typepad.com for instructions on making these marshmallow fondant covered cookies yourself!
Michelle's Sugar Cookie Recipe :
*3 tablespoons Meringue Powder
*4 cups Powdered Sugar
*6 tablespoons warm water
Mix well and add any coloring. Use gel or paste coloring for best results. Use less water for thicker icing. Use paint brushes to apply the icing onto the cookies. The kids love this when we make holiday cookies!
Note: If you apply icing onto a different color icing, it will blend in a little. If you are going to add piping, apply it onto a dry icing base.
These freeze great too. Just remove from freezer and allow to thaw on cookie sheets. The icing will air dry.
(Meringue powder is sold at WalMart, JoAnne Fabrics or Kitchen Collection stores.)
