9" Footed Cut-Edge Stem Vases for $1.00
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
These vases are fantastic even though they are not glass because they will look amazing with any floral arrangement and they're only $1.00. Do a Google search for similar vases and you will find them at least 10 times as much and I doubt guests will notice the difference. That is why I'm not hesitating to buy a few when I see them at the dollar store since I may need a few more for my reception decor. If you don't see them at your dollar store, as usual, you can find them online for $1.00 at DollarTree.com!

DIY - Crystal Trees for under $30.00!
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
This photo is from Charity and Frank $1.4 Million Dollar Wedding.
The centerpieces are crystal trees made with Manzanita trees and hanging Swarovski crystals! What that translates to is that they paid a pretty penny for each of those centerpieces but you can create an almost identical crystal tree for under $30 maybe even less!
I was in the process of posting an article on how to create an affordable crystal tree when I came across this article on Project Wedding. I was most impressed with the fab idea of using crystal strands from a beaded crystal curtain which brings each strand/garland to less than $1 each. That in itself is amazing since it is so hard to find a crystal garland anywhere for under $7.00. So now every small budget bride can afford to create these amazing crystal trees as centerpieces for their wedding or just about any event since they are so affordable to make them.
What you'll need:
Crystal Curtain
Manzanita Branches
Urn or Dark Vase
Spray Foams
Acrylic Diamonds
Crystal Curtain with 34 Stands - $22

Simply cut the strands from the curtain rail and cut them smaller if necessary to hang on the branches of the Manzanita I posted below.

Table Linens at Rental Prices?
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
The table linen completes the look for me, it's more than just a cover for the tables...to me anyway. They play an important role in my decorating scheme! I want them to compliment my amazing peacock feather centerpieces so I don't want white linens but I am not about to spend half of my decorating budget on them either. One of the venues we're looking at rents plain white table linen for $8.00. Don't get me wrong, $8.00 is not a bad price, but if you can buy table linens for that price, wouldn't you rather own them than have to worry about guests ruining someone else's.
At TableLinenCloth.com you can find quality table linens, overlays, table skirts, napkins, cute napkin holders, chair covers and sashes all at amazing low prices, plus shipping is free on orders over $50! There's some good stuff on clearance in the Bargain Center too, even a white polyester chair cover with black satin sash for $2.59!
Now why rent them if you can buy them right? After the wedding is over, they are yours to sell at half the cost if you want to and put that money towards the Honeymoon that's just not in the budget right now. That's what I'm going to do because there'll be too many things that we'll have to store in our small attic.
So, if you are looking to buy affordable, quality table linens and chair covers for your reception, your next stop should be at TableLinenCloth.com! Check them out today!

Elegant, Plum Wedding in Sanfrancisco!!

Right now I am stuck on finding plum wedding photos since as you know that is my new wedding color. This set comes from the wedding of Ansley and Andrew who got married in San Francisco, California. I choose the ones that I found most inspiring but you can see them all here on projewedding.com. I just love how they incorporated the features into their theme.

For the ceremony I like the decor because it's simple and easy for most brides to replicate. The crystal trees you can find instruction here for under $30.

These Calla Lilies are beautiful and 50 stems can be purchased here for $139.99!

By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
Look how creative this centerpiece is and it matches the table decor perfectly. During the Fall and Winter months pine cones are everywhere you go. So they are something that you can definitely find for free to use in your centerpieces.
Below is the exact urn as seen in the photo but I also added more options for you to choose from. So once you have the urns and the pine cones, it's just a matter of putting them together.
