DIY - Chocolate Dipped Groom Berries
By Carlise (Carla) ShepperdIn searching for wedding favors, I've come across these chocolate dipped strawberries many times but after glancing at the price tag of around $5.00 each, it was never an option for me to have these as favors until today. I found this recipe for chocolate dipped strawberries at simplyrecipes.com and was so glad that the instructions were for making the same Tuxedo Strawberries that I adore so much. Look how charming they are and you can make Bride Berries too just using white chocolate and drizzling some of it across each one to add a pattern like in the photo below.

Is Your Fiance Looking For A Unique Tuxedo?
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
This Jean Yves Tuxedo is called Black Mirage and it is style number: 909! It has a satin collar than stands up and satin piping in the front! The coat has no buttons, as you can see which makes this Tuxedo looks so sleek and fine. Here in TN the full set was less than $120 to rent and if we needed five for the groomsmen then the groom's tux would be free.
You can see it here online at JimsFormalWear.com and to find it at a store near you, just click on this link!

DIY: A Football Cake for Your Groom
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
I found the recipe below at Parenting.com while searching for Super Bowl party food last year and it's still on of my favorite DIY cakes on the website. I decided to share it here because I thought it would make a perfect groom's cake for a football fanatic, especially now tha Football season kicked off.
It's made mostly out of cake, frosting and candy, so yeah, what football fan wouldn't be happy with that.
Ingredients:
- 1 (9 by 5-inch) loaf cake
- 1 to 2 tsp cocoa powder
- Red food coloring
- 1 can (16 oz) vanilla frosting
- 6 vanilla Tootsie Rolls
- 7 white Good & Plenty
- Green food coloring
- Yellow food coloring
- 2 cups flaked coconut
- 1 Tbsp warm water

Hand-painted Bride and Groom Glasses
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
Hand painted wine glasses...doesn't that sound expensive? Not if you shop on Etsy. You can purchase a set of these for your head table instead of the traditional bride and groom glasses we see so often. Just another way Etsy can help you stand out on your wedding day!

Guitar Groom's Cake Idea
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
I've gotten a great response from the first groom's cake suggestion I added which was a football cake. So that is why I decided to share this one with you which looks very much like a real guitar. Most of the ingredients for decorating the cake again is mainly just frosting and candy. Yellow M & M's are used on the cake but I would suggest choosing brown instead and maybe leaving off the pretzel sticks and marshmallow at the end.
