DIY - Tissue Paper Carnations
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
I love, love this table setting. I found this photo online at fiftyflowers.com in Jamie Gray's testimonial! What I love about it is that fact that the favor boxes are used as part of the decor and it gave the room such beautiful pops of pink everywhere, (the pink and royal blue colors are gorgeous together!)
You can find many standard carnations in so many colors HERE , just look at how vibrant the colors are but you can make artificial carnations which is actually what is on the favor boxes in the photo above.

Just look how gorgeous paper carnations can be when you are all done.
To make your own you will need:
- Tissue paper
- Scissors
- 2 large paper clips
- Pipe cleaners (chenille stems) or floral wire
- Coloured marker pen
- Optional: floral wire, floral tape, wire cutters

DIY - A Pine Cone Centerpiece
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
Look how creative this centerpiece is and it matches the table decor perfectly. During the Fall and Winter months pine cones are everywhere you go. At our local parks there are usually so many of them that service men gather them up to keep the parks looking clean. So they are something that you can definitely find for free to use in your centerpieces.
Below is the exact urn as seen in the photo but I also added more options for you to choose from. So once you have the urns and the pine cones, it's just a matter of putting them together.

I found this floral arrangement on Proflowers.com and the total price for this bouquet is $29.99 plus $6.99 for the vase, which then equals to $36.98! Teh vase you can buy for just $1.00 and the Irises are $1.39 each. Click on the prices below, for each item, to be linked to the site where you can purchase them.

Orchid Centerpiece - Under $10.00
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
This is a simple yet elegant table setting that anyone can pull off for under $10.00. For this centerpiece I chose the Real Touch Orchids that looks and feel natural although they are indeed artificial. You can submerge the Orchids in water and add a floating candle if desired.
I would suggest for a round table that you use at least 4 of the hurricane candle holders with candles around the Orchid arrangement. You can even put three vases together and use 6 or more candle holders with the candles or a more dramatic effect. Just click on the prices to find all the items you'll need.

It's A Black and White Platinum Wedding!
By Carlise (Carla) Shepperd
For this Platinum Wedding the brides wore a mermaid wedding dress, the groom wore a black suit with a black tie and the bridesmaids were in black dresses!

The cake had black damask patterns on it and it was layered with white roses!

There were tons of hanging pearls and crystals everywhere.

The flowers at this wedding were mainly White Roses and for the centerpieces they sat at the top tall candelabras! The tables, however, were dressed in black tablecloths! The napkins were ivory and a gold ribbon accented each one. The cutlery was gold and gold rim glasses were set for the guests.
